Verbal consent provided during an initial loan consultation or phone call with a Cannon Mortgage Loan Originator
Written consent via a signed loan application or disclosure form
Electronic consent submitted through our borrower portal or application form

By providing your mobile phone number and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to receive automated SMS notifications related to your mortgage transaction.

Types of Messages We Send

Cannon Mortgage sends SMS messages for transactional and notification purposes only, including:

Loan application status updates
Document request reminders and upload confirmations
Disclosure and e-signature notifications
Appraisal and inspection milestone alerts
Underwriting condition updates
Clear-to-close and closing appointment notifications

We do not send marketing or promotional messages via SMS without your explicit separate consent.

Message Frequency and Costs

Message frequency will vary based on your loan status. You may receive approximately 5 to 30 messages over the course of your loan transaction. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan.

How to Opt Out

You may opt out of receiving SMS messages from Cannon Mortgage at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from us. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE or CANCEL, or contact your Loan Originator directly to request removal. After opting out, you will receive a single confirmation message and no further messages will be sent.

Privacy and Data Use

Phone numbers and consent records collected for SMS messaging are used solely to communicate with you about your active mortgage transaction. We do not sell, share, or rent your information to third-party marketers. Consent records are stored securely and retained for a minimum of three years in compliance with applicable mortgage regulations.
